Who we are

The Hockley Edit is published by Hockley Real Estate Group (Isaac & Gabrielle Hockley), operating through Royal LePage East Kootenay Realty(East Kootenay Realty Ltd.), 25 10th Avenue South, Cranbrook, BC V1C 2M9. Phone: (250) 426-8211.

What we collect

• Your first name and email address.
• Your answers to the questions on this site: what you're looking for, the area, your timing, and an optional budget.
• A neighbourhood or community, if you choose to add one. We don't ask for a property address.
• A phone number and contact preference, only if you ask Isaac or Gabrielle to contact you.
• A record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, its version, when, and where.

How we use it

We use your answers to decide which emails are relevant to you. If you ask for direct contact, Isaac or Gabrielle use your details to follow up on that request. Asking for direct contact and agreeing to emails are separate choices, and you can make either one without the other.

Consent and unsubscribing

We send newsletter emails only to people who have agreed to receive them. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw at any time. We don't sign people back up after they unsubscribe unless they ask us to.

Where it's stored

Newsletter subscribers and their preferences are stored with Beehiiv, our email provider, which may process data outside Canada. We don't sell your information.

What this site doesn't do

This site doesn't run analytics or advertising trackers that identify individual visitors. While you answer the questions, your answers are kept in your browser for that session so you don't lose your place. Your name, email address, and phone number are not. Some general photos load from Unsplash, which receives the usual technical details any website does when an image is requested.
